V-Mail

Residential call answering and business voice messaging is much better than an answering machine.  Your callers can leave messages for you when you are on or a away from your phone.  With call answering, you'll never worry about missing a call again.

Benefits:

  • V-mail is the electronic answering service that will take your calls if you are using your telephone or are unable to answer the phone.

  • V-mail is easy to use -- you control the system with the number on your touch tone phone pad.

  • V-mail works even when you are ON the phone or surfing the internet.

  • V-mail works even if the electricity fails.

  • You do not maintain the system -- we do.  No machine to buy or replace.

  • You receive high quality, state of the art service at low cost.

  • V-mail is all yours -- record your own message, then use a password (four numbers) to hear your messages either at your phone or away from your phone.

Call Answering/Voice Messaging

Call answering will automatically answer all incoming calls.  The caller will receive a personalized message informing them the called party is unavailable and the caller may leave a message if they so wish.   A stuttered or interrupted dial tone when the receiver is picked up signals you of messages in your mailbox.  Visual indicators are also available.  You may also retrieve your messages while away from home.

To check voice messages, change announcement or change password

  • Listen for dial tone.
  • Dial your access number and instructions will be given for you to receive your messages, change announcement, or change password.  Once you learn the prompts given, you can enter them at any time after you are logged in.  You do not have to listen to instructions each time.

To check your voice mail away from home

  • Listen for dial tone.

  • Dial 1-605 (if necessary) and your access number.

  • A prompt will ask you to enter your mailbox number followed by a # sign.  (Your mailbox number is your seven digit home telephone number).  Enter your mailbox number and # sign now.

  • Another prompt will ask you for your password followed by a # sign.  Enter your password and # sign now.

  • If the mailbox number is followed by a valid password, you will then be logged into your mailbox and you will hear the mailbox summary.

To record greeting and/or to create password

Note:  you will need a password so that you can access your mailbox from any touch-tone phone away from your home.  Without a password, you can only access your mailbox from your home phone.
